Bill is Still Right (part 2 of 3)

Today the school system does not educate children they indoctrinate them. I tell black families as I did my daughter that she must educate herself by reading the works of Dr H Clarke, Dr Ben, Chancellor Williams, and Ivan Van Sertima etc. What a lot of black people do not understand is that we are not needed any longer. Our young males are only needed for entertainment for the majority of the white population to run with football or shoot a basket ball etc.”

“What gives Cosby the right to attack poor people!” Critics charge. He’s not attacking, he’s expousing the value of education Cosby fully understands that self empowerment follows education.
His career is reflects his belief in education
Bill Cosby has contributed more financially to Historically Black Colleges than any other single individual and his years on television reflect the same.

Fat Albert was honored and noted for its educational content. During each episode, Fat Albert and his friends, collectively known as The Junkyard Gang, dealt with an issue or problem commonly faced by young children, ranging from stage fright, first loves (“puppy love”), medical operations, and skipping school to harder, more serious themes (toned down somewhat for young children) including smoking, stealing, racism, being scammed by con artists, child abuse, drug use, and gun violence.

The Cosby Show,” which began in 1984 and was TV’s No. 1 series for several years, cemented Cosby’s status. The show didn’t talk down to its audience and simply assumed the success of its black characters: Cosby’s obstetrician, Dr. Cliff Huxtable; his lawyer wife, Clair; their five children and, later, grandchild; and their comfortable life in the upscale New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. Its spin off Different World featured a group of students at a historically Black university struggle to make it through college.

Little Bill Little Bill shows kids that what they do makes a difference in the world. By dealing with conflicts in everyday life, the program encourages children to value the love of their family, to increase self-esteem, and to develop social skills

Fatherhood What sets Fatherhood apart from most animated shows on the air is that none of the characters have super powers, secret identities or talking animal pals. The producers feel real-life situations are interesting enough, and have crafted a series the whole family can relate to. Likewise, the cast is charged with bringing to their roles a level of realism rarely found in animation.

Many critics expressed shock that the beloved figure of Americana—the genial observational humorist; the wise paterfamilias of the beloved The Cosby Show (1984-1992); the winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002—should offer such a pointed, and conservative, political message. Yet those who were fooled by Cosby’s silliness into surprise at his newfound ferocity were just that—fooled. Cosby has long been a good “race” man on an all-too-serious mission to Educate, which equates to Empowerement
